Last issue we spoke about how you don’t need more makeup; you need a method.
The same applies to eyeshadow palettes. Most of us aren’t actually lacking options; we’re
lacking clarity on what we genuinely reach for.
Before buying another palette because it’s trending, beautifully packaged or full of
“possibilities,” pause and ask yourself:
● What eye look do I actually want to create most often?
● What colours does that look require?
● What’s my current go-to eye look?
● What would I like my signature eye look to become?
● Do these tones suit my complexion?
● Does this style complement my eye shape?
● Will I realistically use more than half of the palette?
One of the biggest mistakes people make is buying oversized palettes packed with shades
they admire visually but never wear. In reality, most people rotate between three and five
favourite shades repeatedly. That’s why smaller, curated palettes often become the most
loved and most used.
For soft everyday glam, warm bronzed tones tend to flatter golden, olive and deeper
complexions beautifully. Cooler taupes and soft mauves can enhance fair to neutral skin tones or create a more lifted, sculpted eye effect.
