The school holidays are rapidly approaching, and end-of-term-itis is in the air!
Spring is here, and along with that, there are some awesome must-do activities in the area. Blast off for an adventure during these school holidays, with free activities happening across the Franklin Local Board area.
Delving into a space theme these holidays, Franklin is over the moon to be hosting the programme. Held across Pukekohe Library, Waiuku Library and Beachlands Community Hub, families are invited to attend any of the activities, ranging in fun from creating a night sky lantern, learning coding skills, language week story times, stargazing, rocket building, and 3D printing activities.
In previous programs run by the Franklin team, children have often expressed their joy and the fun they had creating.
“I really liked the 3D printing; I still have my elephant!” a past participant, Mackenzie, said. “I think it would be a great experience for anyone wanting to try something new.”
If you would like to attend, please register your child(ren) early as some activities have limited spaces. A detailed timetable can be found in the Waiuku and Pukekohe libraries, as well as on each Franklin library’s Facebook page.
This is a free programme, so come along for an out-of-this-world experience!
