Investing in local people has encouraged investment firm Forsyth Barr to take a seat at Franklin’s table.
Last week, the investment specialists celebrated joining the Franklin business community by hosting a lunch at top local restaurant, Bracu Estate in Bombay.Guests and staff enjoyed the lunch, Forsyth Barr investment adviser Tom Fleetwood confirms.
“The service at Bracu was excellent, welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and worked perfectly with the informal setting, and the creme brule was especially popular,” he says.
“We were delighted with the turnout on the day. Many of the guests were interested to learn more about our company’s long history and commitment to the communities in which we work.”
The guest list included local professionals from the legal, accounting, insurance and real estate sectors, existing and prospective clients in the Franklin region as well as representatives from the Pukekohe Business Association welcoming the Forsyth Barr team to our town.
While the company’s managing director, Neil Paviour Smith attended the event, the day was focused on the firm’s new Pukekohe team, now based at the Campbell Tyson Business Centre.
Liz Brown Douglas is leading the local office with Fleetwood and other local advisers, Preyesh Master and David Morgan.
The office is new, but Fleetwood, Master and Morgan have all lived or worked in the Pukekohe area for more than 15 years.
The Pukekohe office is Forsyth Barr’s 26th nationwide, ensuring the firm can provide local services with the backing of a national network, Fleetwood explains.
“Building Forsyth Barr’s business in Franklin is a great opportunity to work closely with our local community. We are committed to providing personalised advice at a local level,” he adds.
“Franklin is still home to a lot of primary industry business and one of the fastest growing communities in the country. For these reasons, it’s the perfect time for the company to establish a branch here.”
