Beats by Bingo is set to benefit Franklin Hospice. The popular game will help raise much needed funds, hospice manager Alison Daldy says.
“Beats by Bingo is traditional bingo but with a twist where the MC for the night [comedian, Steven Lyons, pictured] plays songs and instead of numbers you mark them off your bingo card. It involves a lot of listening, a lot of music, a lot of fun and a lot of laughter.”
Set for August 28 at Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe, the event will focus on a denim, diamonds and disco theme – patrons are invited to dress up accordingly.
Guests can expect an open bar, snacks, a raffle an auction and prizes, Daldy confirms.
“We have vouchers from in and around Franklin – such as Glenbrook Vintage Railway and Bath, Bed, and Beyond – and some great prizes packs we’ve made up from donations. These include everything from candles and fancy towels to food and books.”
The event is being run in association with Business Network International (BNI) Franklin.
“Last year’s Beat by Bingo raised more than $11,000, and BNI are hoping to do even better this time,” Daldy adds.
