This month, Pukekohe’s hospitality businesses are taking centre stage as Pukekohe on a Platter returns for a month of dining, drinks and local experiences.
Running until September 30, the campaign aims to bring together restaurants, cafés and bars from across the town, each of whom have something special for diners to discover.
It’s a good idea to keep a look out for new menu items, special events, giveaways and other opportunities to experience Pukekohe’s hospitality scene.
Pukekohe on a Platter is led by the Pukekohe Business Association with the hope to give people even more reason to catch up over coffee, book a table somewhere new or revisit a favourite local venue.
“Pukekohe has such a varied hospitality scene, with incredibly passionate people working behind it,” Pukekohe Business Association general manager Shawna Coleman says.
“Pukekohe on a Platter is about shining a light on those businesses and encouraging people to get out, try something different and enjoy what’s available right here in our town.”
It’s a fitting celebration for the town long known as the “food bowl of New Zealand,” with the Pukekohe region producing (approximately) a quarter of the country’s fresh vegetables each year.
Throughout September, locals and visitors are encouraged to get out, try somewhere new and enjoy the great food and drinks Pukekohe has to offer.
