Great South Road, Drury is closed following a crash resulting in serious injuries.
The crash, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, was reported shortly before 1pm, police have now confirmed.
One person has been transported to hospital in a serious condition.
Great South Road is closed between the SH1 Drury off-ramp and Waihoehoe Road. Diversions are in place.
Police thank motorists for their patience while we work to clear the scene.

One person has been rushed to hospital following the crash, Hato Hone St John confirms
“Hato Hone St John was notified at 12.45pm of a motor vehicle crash on Great South Road, Drury,” a spokesperson says. “One ambulance, two rapid response units and one operations manager responded to the scene. Our ambulance crew treated and transported one patient in a serious condition to Middlemore Hospital.”
