Life just keeps getting better at The Hill

Earlier this year, the first residents were welcomed into their new retirement villas at The Hill Pukekohe.

Village manager Michelle Garland says there’s something very meaningful about the moment when residents first moved in.

Lynn and her husband were among the first to move into The Hill.

“I saw the Tamahere Country Club on TV and thought I’d love to move there, but I didn’t want to leave Pukekohe. I later saw Sanderson Group was opening up a village here and I jumped at the chance.”

Robyn has since become good friends with next-door neighbour Jenny, who moved up from Rangiora to be closer to family.

“We’re close, but not in each other’s pockets; it’s just lovely,” Jenny says.

As more people move in, the village itself continues to take shape.

On June 25 The Hill celebrated the opening of its main gates at 66 Tuakau Road. This occasion marked an important moment in the progress of the village.

To bring this entrance to life, more than 50,000 cobbles have been carefully laid, forming a
beautifully detailed approach that reflects the quality and character of The Hill. At the heart of the entrance sits a magnificent feature stone that completes a water fountain, a focal point for the main arrival area into the village.

Work is also continuing on the village clubhouse, which is set to become the social heart of the community. Plans include spaces for bowls, croquet and pétanque, along with an indoor heated pool, spa, sauna, gym, boutique cinema, café and areas for residents to gather, relax and spend time together.

This summer the onsite café opens to residents and the public. Not only a great place to
catch up with family and friends for a morning coffee, lunch, or to pick up a few essentials from the deli, the café is set to become a mainstay for the wider Franklin
community.

The Hill offers a range of stand-alone two, three and four-bedroom villas, each thoughtfully designed to make everyday living comfortable.

Most house plans include a media room, walk-in scullery, double garaging, and all villas  feature raking ceilings that flood the living area with light and create a genuine sense of space. There’s a home to suit everyone with 17 designs ranging from 163m² to 260m² and the option to customise to fit your lifestyle.
