Police are investigating allegations of fraud at Pukekohe North School, the Times understands.
The NZ Herald is reporting that further facts cannot be provided while the investigation is underway.
The news follows resignations by board members last week although this is not thought to be connected.
Update: a police investigation is underway, the Ministry of Education’s Deidre Alderson has confirmed to the Times.
“Police are investigating matters related to the school. The school is open and operating as usual and we are providing support as needed. We are unable to comment further at this time.”
