Counties Manukau Police say they’re seeking Papakura’s Daniel Rawiri, who is avoiding authorities.
The 29-year-old has failed to return to prison after being granted compassionate bail by the courts on May 27.
A warrant has been issued for Rawiri’s arrest.
“We know he’s aware police are looking for him and he’s actively avoiding us,” says detective senior sergeant Simon Taylor.
“The public should not approach Rawiri, but if you do see him call 111 instead.”
Rawiri has connections across the south Auckland and Waikato regions, Taylor says.
