After two and a half months away, the Pukekohe Business Association is pleased
to be back home in their King Street office.

“We’re really happy to be back on the main street, we have a really cool new
space that’s super inviting,” says Pukekohe Business Association’s Shawna
Coleman.
Flooding damage caused by a leaking roof in January damaged computers and
paperwork with water from the guttering spreading pigeon poo throughout the
office.
The team had to pack up and move out in April while the space underwent
renovations, working out of alternative premises in Pukekohe.
“It’s a timely reminder for businesses to make sure they have insurance,”
Coleman says.
Now back in the town centre, staff have taken the opportunity to have a bit of a
refresh and reconfigure the space.
“As it is when you move house, it was a good opportunity to purge random stuff.”
The move also reminded the team how much they value their home on the sunny
side of King Street.
“We realised how much we missed interacting with the community,” she says.
“When you’re on the ground floor, you get to see the hustle and bustle of people
coming in and out of shops.”
