Cartoon: learning the ropes

At recent calf club, ag days and the like, young locals have been showcasing their knowledge of all sorts of creatures small. While many of these animals might suffer a worse fate, some parents will succumb to pleas by little ones and take on new pets. However, as this original illustration by Roger Smith suggests, there’s a lot more to learn when little kids and their pets grow up.
