Police have released the name of the woman who died following a fatal crash in Manurewa on August 27.
The 27-year-old was Monique Marie Jennifer Lay, of Otara.
“Police extend our condolences to Monique’s loved ones during this difficult time,” says Superintendent Shanan Gray, Counties Manukau Police.
As previously covered, the crash occurred on Alfriston Road after an alleged aggravated robbery in Manurewa.
Police followed a vehicle from the scene before it crashed head-on with another car.
The critical incident investigation remains ongoing as police continue to understand the circumstances around what unfolded that evening.
