It appears that the Times had its wires crossed concerning planned power outages for Pukekohe’s King Street.
Two outages were planned, one for last night and another for tonight (9pm until midnight) Counties Energy has confirmed.
Last night’s outage was requited to connect a temporary generator while the next will see the generator disconnected when maintenance work is complete.
The generator was organised to minimise disruption to customers, a statement from Counties Energy confirms.
‘This planned outage enabled important asset renewal work to be carried out without the need for a longer daytime outage, helping to minimise disruption to local businesses and customers.
‘Customers were notified of both outages in advance. We thank customers for their patience while this work was completed to support the reliability of the local electricity network.’
