Finding your perfect home

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

People are at the heart of Diana Cussen’s real estate journey.

Since joining Barfoot & Thompson in 2009, Diana has been recognised with multiple awards for her outstanding sales results and is one of the top residential salespeople.

However, the biggest highlight from her time in the industry is the immense satisfaction she gains from helping her clients sell their most significant financial assets and find the home of their dreams.

“You become part of people’s lives for a little bit, helping people along on their property
journeys. It’s like Goldilocks, really. Finding a home that’s not too big or too small, but just
right.”

Diana’s passion for helping people achieve their property goals is evident at the first meeting. Her enthusiasm and infectious, cheerful demeanour belie a tenaciousness and fierce determination to achieve the absolute best results for her clients. You only have to read through Diana’s long list of glowing testimonials to see how highly both buyers and sellers regard her. Nothing is too much trouble for Diana, and you will find her helpful, hardworking, honest, reliable and accommodating in all situations, no matter how challenging.

Born in Pukekohe, she has a wealth of local knowledge built up from many years living in
Franklin. Diana is one of 14 children, so she appreciates the true meaning of teamwork,
negotiation, and communication. She is an expert at navigating around different personalities.

She is married, has three adult children and six grandchildren, and she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Diana values working for a family-owned and run company that has been a trusted part of the Auckland scene for more than 100 years.

Something you may not know about Diana is that she spent several years working as a
professional house painter and later an interior/exterior decorator. She has on-the-job knowledge of house construction and knows how to present a property well.

“I can highlight where the money hides in a home.”

Diana’s dynamic team includes her wonderful sales associate, Hannah, and her daughter and fellow sales associate, Ione. The pair are skilled “personal home shoppers” for home buyers, while Diana looks after vendors.

The team is supported by admin star Melody and marketing guru Chelsea behind the scenes.

If you are looking for an experienced, hard-working, honest, and energetic real estate
professional with proven results, call Diana for an obligation-free chat. She and her team look forward to meeting you.

MEET TEAM CUSSEN

  • Hannah Digby

Working alongside Diana, I primarily assist buyers in finding the right property, whether it’s their very first home, a step up for a growing family, or the perfect lifestyle change. Working with such a high-performing team has given me invaluable insight into the sales side of the business and helped me build strong foundations for my own career as an associate salesperson.

  • Ione Cussen

After years of experience with Team Cussen in an administrative capacity, I have made the exciting transition into the sales team, working alongside my mum, Diana Cussen, at Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe. Now, in my role as a sales associate, my specialty lies in ‘personal home shopping’ – helping clients find the right property is what I am all about.

  • Melody Rose Garcia

With a background in real estate listing management, financial operations, and insurance operations management, it’s a great opportunity to be part of Team Diana Cussen. My role focuses on sending out vendor reports to keep clients informed of their listings, maintaining client and property data within our system, and assisting the team in an administrative capacity. Supporting this top-performing team and helping our clients have a seamless experience is incredibly rewarding.

  • Chelsea Bath

My background is in media, marketing, and digital, and I bring all of it to Team Cussen. I run the social media and campaigns you’ll see across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn — staying ahead with the latest technology and making sure every listing reaches the right audience. But what I love most is the team itself. We’re genuinely a family, and we care deeply about each other and about every client who trusts us with their home. My job is to carry that warmth into everything we share online, so it always feels real and personal.
