We’re lucky to have some extraordinary people in our team – and one of them has just launched a programme that we’re excited to share.
Mai Lighthouse social worker Ross Cormack specialises in mental health and health improvement and is now offering low-cost workshops designed specifically for workplaces across Franklin.
Drawing on his expertise in mental health and his deep commitment to community wellbeing, Ross has created sessions that are practical, grounded, and built for real working environments – not textbooks.
Whether you’re a small business owner, a community organisation, or leading a larger team, these workshops meet you exactly where you are.
WORKSHOP ONE: MENTAL HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE This workshop builds foundational mental health literacy – exploring what good mental health looks like, how to identify risk factors and early warning signs, and evidence-based strategies for sustaining your own wellbeing.
Participants will also explore how individual wellbeing connects to broader community health.
WORKSHOP TWO: DE-ESCALATION SKILLS Real tools for real moments — how to stay grounded when things get hard, manage your own response under pressure, and de-escalate tension in the workplace before it spirals.
Practical, honest, and immediately applicable. Each session costs $150 and is held at your workplace or at our community hub at 205 King Street, Pukekohe.
