Christy and Jacob Sahota electrified the music scene when they formed Sahota Vision in 2024. Now, the duo is back with two new singles, which they hope will expand their music repertoire and increase their following.
The new singles are both steps forward for their musical range, Jacob Sahota says.
“These new singles represent growth for us – both sonically and creatively. We’re stepping into a more refined sound while still staying true to who we are, and it feels like the start of an exciting chapter.”
Originally from Pukekohe, the Sahota siblings have become well known for their fusion of soulful pop and melodic rap underpinned by their Punjabi heritage.
A remix of the 2025 hit, Don’t Leave Me, features Arshh G. It’s billed as energetic with an incredible beat. The pair felt that remixing the track was the right move in order to reach a new audience while retaining the song’s original tone.
Don’t Leave Me was the band’s first Punjabi track, with a few English lyrics sprinkled in to give it a catchy hook.
Next is Personal, a smooth pop/R&B track that captures the intimate and reflective side of the band. Exploring themes of patience and emotional boundaries, the song is a strong departure from what their fans have come to expect while also showcasing the band’s creativity, Christy Sahota confirms.
“For me, Personal is very new to what we normally aim for, stepping into a new creative zone and just experimenting with our sound,” she says. “It reflects where we are right now as artists and shows a lot more confidence in our sound. It feels like we’re building something bigger with every new release.”
Last year, the band traveled to India and released the single Pull Up with producer and rapper J Hind (aka Dinesh Sharma). The Sahotas say they would love to go back, but they are focused on their music and growing their brand for now.
