Highly commended is almost as good as gold… almost. The Times team was delighted to
hear that both the Franklin Times and our sister publication, the Eastern Times had played a role in securing accolades at the recent Pride in Print Awards.
The printer of both publications, Webstar Auckland, was awarded a highly commended for its work on Eastern Times and also won a gold award for the October 10, 2025 edition of the Franklin Times.
In their notes, the competition’s judges lauded Webstar, stating that: “Exceptional colour reproduction with vibrant, punchy tones, sharp detail as well as perfect stitching and square alignment in the finishing saw this fantastic paper achieve a level of consistency
well above standard production.”
