State Highway 2 at Maramarua has now reopened following a crash.
Police say the two-vehicle crash involving a car and a motorcycle was reported at around 11.35am.
“One person has sustained serious injuries.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.”
The road reopened shortly after 1pm.
