Nestled in the heart of Pukekohe, Liddells Pharmacy has been caring for the health and wellbeing of the community for more than 80 years.
For generations of locals, it has been far more than just a place to collect prescriptions — it’s a trusted hub for advice, care, and friendly faces.
The story of Liddells began around 1940 when John Hargraves opened the pharmacy on King Street. Nearly three decades later, in 1969, Bob Liddell joined the business, creating Hargraves and Liddell. When Bob took ownership in 1979, Liddells Pharmacy was born — a name that would soon become familiar to families across Pukekohe.
In 2003, Jillian and Greg Stevens became the proud owners, continuing the pharmacy’s long tradition of genuine care and service to the community. After 16 years of dedicated stewardship, they passed the torch in 2019 to the current owners, Bahareh Javadian and her husband, Reza.
Bahareh brought with her a fresh energy and a holistic vision for community healthcare. With more than two decades of pharmaceutical experience, she combines professional expertise with a genuine understanding of the needs of the Pukekohe community.
That deep connection to the community is shared by the entire Liddells team. Many staff members have been part of the pharmacy family for decades, including retail manager Kim Cronin and dispensary manager Valisha Potter, who have both served customers at Liddells for an incredible 30 years.
Together, the team prides itself on knowing customers by name and providing personalised care that goes beyond the counter.
Today, Liddells Pharmacy continues to evolve as a comprehensive health and wellness hub.
Alongside traditional pharmacy services, they now offer a range of specialist health and beauty treatments. These include ear microsuctioning, cryotherapy for the removal of skin tags and benign skin lesions, wound care and stitch removal, heart health screening, IV nutrient therapy to support immunity and energy, strep throat screening and treatment, and a travel health clinic providing pre-travel vaccinations and medications.
Liddells’ commitment to Pukekohe extends well beyond the pharmacy doors. The team proudly supports local events, sports teams, and school fundraisers — giving back to the community that has supported them for so many years.
