Locals heading to the Coromandel for a long weekend should check NZTA’s journey planner before setting off.
State Highway 25, Tairua Whitianga Road, is blocked following a crash near Whenuakite this afternoon.
Police were called to the crash about 1.05pm near Parakatu Road responding to reports that a truck has rolled.
There are no reported injuries, however as this road can be notoriously difficult to clear, motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays.
