McCarthy Construction is looking for a qualified builder to join the team.
We work across Franklin, South Auckland and Waikato, taking on a mix of new builds, renovations and rural work, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and doing things properly.
Being trade qualified is essential. LBP isn’t required as I sign the work off.
Most importantly, we’re after someone with a good attitude who gets on well with the team and clients. We work hard but enjoy having a laugh, so a good sense of humour and the ability to give and take a bit of shit is definitely a bonus.
We’re big on having a life outside of work too. If you’re into the outdoors, hunting, fishing, sports or have hobbies you’re passionate about, that’s a big advantage.
Quality is important to us. We want someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and does things properly, no shortcuts. You need to be reliable, honest, able to read plans and comfortable working independently.
You’ll need your own tools, reliable vehicle and a full driver’s licence.
There’s plenty of opportunity for the right person to grow with the company. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can eventually step into a foreman role, run jobs and lead a small crew. A company vehicle could also be on the table for the right person as they move into that role.
Pay will depend on experience and ability.
