The Times understands Tuakau College has been in lockdown, but the incident has now been resolved.
The school advised families and residents to stay away from school property during the lockdown earlier this morning.
A statement on social media reads: “There is no ongoing threat, and normal school has now resumed for the remainder of the day.”
The school was in lockdown in March due to a violent incident between a teacher and a student, click here to read more. However, this incident is not related.
Update: Police have confirmed that one person has been taken into custody and that the lockdown from earlier this morning has been lifted and the situation resolved.
