I’d like to congratulate and warmly welcome Clare Alder, recently elected to the Franklin Local Board to represent the Wairoa subdivision. Clare was officially sworn in at our June business meeting. It’s wonderful to finally have a full board as we continue delivering for Franklin.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Franklin Wairoa subdivision by-election. Our draft local board plan is now open for feedback until July 23.
The plan prioritises the needs and aspirations of Franklin’s communities, but it’s only as strong as the people who help shape it. We encourage you to share your feedback at akhaveyoursay.nz/localboardplans. It’s your area, so it needs your voice.
In 2023, 155 people shared feedback to help shape the last plan. That input was
valuable – but with a population of more than 84,000 people, there’s plenty of room for
more voices at the table.
