Frankliners heading north ahead of the weekend may want to time their journeys as high winds are expected, NZTA confirms.
Strong winds are expected from 1pm until 6pm tomorrow (Friday 26 June) which may impact travel across the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
Winds gusting 85-95 kilometres per hour are forecast. A few gusts could reach 90-95km/h, triggering a full closure of all lanes for a short period.
Drivers are reminded to drive to the conditions and pay attention to electronic message boards on the motorway, which will advise of any speed restrictions or lane closures.
