Packs of Hellers Sweet Chilli Pork Tenders are being recalled due to possible presence ‘foreign matter’, New Zealand Food Safety’s Jenny Bishop confirms.
“The concern with these pork tenders, available from supermarkets nationwide, is that they could contain pieces of hard black plastic,” she says.
“If you have any of the 600g packets with a best before date of June 6, 2026, don’t eat them. Customers should contact their retailer for a refund or throw them out.”
New Zealand Food Safety has not received any notifications of associated injury to do with the product which have not been exported.
“As is our usual practice, New Zealand Food Safety will work with Hellers Limited to understand how this happened and prevent its recurrence,” Bishop adds.
