Election results for the Franklin Local Board are in, and Team Franklin has taken all but one of the seats on the board.
“The result reflects the strong confidence Franklin communities have placed in Team Franklin’s record of local leadership, practical decision-making, and genuine advocacy for the district’s needs,” said Franklin Local Board member and campaign coordinator, Andrew Kay in a statement.
“Team Franklin’s success provides experienced and connected leadership across the region — from the coastlines of Awhitu and Beachlands/Maraetai to the heart of Pukekohe and the rural townships beyond.
“The team looks forward to working with Gary Holmes, elected as an independent member for Waiuku, whose local knowledge and commitment will strengthen the board’s work.
“Team Franklin also acknowledges and thanks all candidates who stood for election in the spirit of democracy, and extends its appreciation to supporters, volunteers, and voters who made this result possible,” Kay said.
Progress results
These are the progress results, listed by subdivision, that include votes received until the evening of Friday, October 10. They do not include special votes or votes received this morning, October 11.
Preliminary results will be announced on Monday, October 13.
Final results and official results include all votes, including special votes. They will be released by Friday, October 17.
