Bring your broken or damaged items along to the Onehunga Repair Café, where local volunteer repairers will help give them a new life for free. This community event encourages the idea of Repair, Renew, Reuse by helping people reduce waste and learn more about fixing everyday items.
Volunteers are available to assist with repairs including small furniture pieces, bikes, toys, clothing repairs and darning, small appliances (excluding microwaves due to safety measures), laptops, and other electronics. Visitors can enjoy the chance to connect with the community while keeping useful items out of landfill.
Repairs are provided free of charge, with donations or koha warmly welcomed to support future Repair Café events.
Important note: The Repair Café runs on the second Saturday of each month. Bring along your items for assessment and repair, and contact surbhi@doughnuteconomicsnz.com if you would like to volunteer or have any questions.
