Join artist Lisa Bate for a hands-on, full-day workshop introducing the fundamentals of two-part plaster master mould making. This creative session is designed for beginners and provides a practical guide to making reusable plaster moulds for replicating objects.
Participants will learn how to create versatile two-part moulds suitable for press moulding and slip casting clay objects, or even wax for glass casting. The workshop will focus on making moulds from fruit and vegetables, offering an accessible and inspiring way to explore form, texture, and replication techniques.
This is a fun and immersive creative experience set in the inspiring surroundings of the Glass Barn, a studio and gallery located on a regenerative farm in Puni, South Auckland.
Follow-up workshops focused on casting fruit forms in clay or glass will be offered at a later date.
