Join this magical evening experience in nature with a guided glow worm walk through Tōtara Park. This free community event offers a unique opportunity to explore the park after dark and observe glow worms in their natural environment.
Participants should arrive from 6:15pm to check in with the CLM Events team, with the walk beginning promptly at 6:30pm. The experience lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour and encourages slow walking so eyes can adjust to the dark while enjoying the natural surroundings.
Please note that the event may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, with updates provided via email.
What to bring:
• Sturdy footwear (sneakers or gumboots)
• Warm and weather-appropriate clothing
• One torch per family
• A positive attitude
Important: This walk is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs due to terrain and low-light conditions.
